I chose it because he's a Toy Story fan and his older brother has the Huffy Spiderman 16 inch bike. The Spiderman bike has held up well after a year of use, so I trusted this one would as well. It arrived promptly, in good shape and I opened it up to begin assembly (which I dreaded). In typical guy fashion, I pulled out all the parts and decided to try putting it together without reading the instructions. Much to my surprise, I had it together and ready to ride in about 20 minutes! The only tool I used was an adjustable wrench. The tires were about 1/2 full, so I topped them off. The bike seems to be of good quality and I expect he will outgrow it before it breaks down. This was an upgrade from a smaller bike for him, so he says this one is really fast! He's spent about 3 hours on it so far with no issues. He loves it and wants to ride it constantly. It seems to be well made, and it was easy for my husband to assemble. However, we were surprised and disappointed by a couple of things...it has no kick stand, and it does not have front and rear reflectors. Our grandson noticed these were absent immediately. As I look at the photo, I can see that neither a kick stand nor reflectors are pictured on the bike, but we didn't even notice that beforehand. If it had not been lacking these basic items, this bicycle would have definitly been a 5 star.
