Hi, I'm Tim Sturtevant - the inventor of the FlutterBladeTM.

When I was a boy back in the 1960's, like pretty much every kid in America, I used to clip baseball cards on my bike forks to get a "revved-up" engine sound. My Dad showed me how to wrap and clip the cards with a clothespin. The sound was really exciting. It would get louder when I sped up and softer when I slowed down making it feel like I had a real engine on my bike. It was a very cool trick that really boosted my enthusiasm for riding but disappointingly the cards usually came apart after just a couple of minutes of riding.

Since my childhood riding experiences I've stayed in the saddle and am a life-long cycle racer, broadcast producer, auto/bike mechanic and inventor. Back in August of '07 I was in the same spot my Dad had been in. I wanted to show the kids in my neighborhood how to get a bigger thrill out of their riding.
